At C&K Gordonvale Community Kindergarten we cater for 44 children in two groups, operating a 9-day fortnight. We are proud of our home-like atmosphere which creates and maintains a warm and relaxed care environment, providing nurturing and rich relationships between our educators and families. We pride ourselves on creating a play-based learning environment and program that is developed in collaboration with children, families and the community.

C&K Gordonvale Community Kindergarten are currently looking for an Administration Officer to join their team. The position is permanent part time for 32 hours a fortnight during term time, beginning Monday 11 July 2022.

The Administration Officer supports the Director and Volunteer Management Committee in the everyday running of the kindergarten. The service is looking for someone who is confident, can maintain confidentiality and is open to learning new skills.

 Ideal applicants will have:

• Qualification in business administration or related course is preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role as an administration officer.
• Excellent working knowledge of MYOB with payroll, and the Microsoft Office suite of products, with the ability to learn new software applications.
• Previous experience with Kidsoft desirable.
• Hold or willing to obtain a Paid Blue card (working with children check).
• Proven well developed written, verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills coupled with a strong customer service focus.
• Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain a very high level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Be approachable amongst the community of families, children and employees.
