About the opportunity 

C&K Millmerran is a community-based service which focuses on providing high quality learning experiences for each child through the exploration and interaction with their natural environment. The service boasts a stunning outdoor play area and utilises various sustainable practices to educate children. Through the implementation of C&K’s Building Waterfalls framework, educators build strong partnerships with children and their families, and enhance the strong connections within the local community.

C&K Millmerran Community Kindergarten is currently looking for an experienced and qualified Assistant Educator to join their team. As the Assistant, you will be responsible for implementing quality care and education program for kindergarten aged children in co-operation with the Kindergarten Teacher.

You will be working on a  fixed-term part-time basis for 8.5 hours each Monday and Tuesday. This position commences on 11th July. 

 
About you 

An experienced early childhood Educator, you will be energetic, fun, passionate and committed to supporting and guiding children’s learning and development. You will have the following:

• Certificate lll qualification in early childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA); or enrolled and actively working towards
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
• Hold or willing to obtain a paid Blue Card
• Previous experience working with children
• Awareness of the National Quality Framework and Queensland Kindergarten guidelines
• Passion for creating and delivering a simulating learning environment
• An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
• Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories.
• An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Early Childhood Teacher ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
