About the role:

At C&K Calamvale Community College, a position has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced outside of school hours' care Educator to join their team.

The centre is looking for an Educator who is engaging, likes to think outside the box, and ready to get down to the children's level to meet the need and interest of the children. You will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation of the program within the centre, whilst fostering strong relationships with children, families and other team members.

You will be known for your Enthusiasm and energetic approach in engaging with children age between 3.5 - 12 years old.

  • Permanent part time -26 hours a week
  • Immediate start for the right candidate
  • Monday through to Friday; Split shifts on Monday Tuesday & Wednesday
  • Before School care shift hours 7am-9am
  • After School care shift hours 2pm-6pm
  • Variety of shifts during School holidays

Ideal applicants will have:

  • Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Enrolled in the same
  • Current paid Blue card or willingness to obtain one
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training certificates
  • Manual driver's licence with ability to drive a minivan when required is desirable
  • Previous experience working in an OSHC or similar role would be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of the Child Protection Legislation
  • Knowledge of Early Years Learning and My Time Our Place Frameworks desirable
  • Understanding of the National Quality Standards
  • Knowledge & understanding of children with complex challenging behaviours beneficial
  • Positive and genuine interest in children
