About the role:

At our C&K Jelly Beans Community Kindergarten located in Alpha which is in Western QLD, a position has come available for an Assistant Educator to join the centre. As the Assistant you will have the opportunity to learn and grow through C&K, to bring new skills and ideas to challenge your knowledge and deliver excellence in early education and care. For the role we are looking for an Educator who is energetic, passionate and fun, who will pride themselves on their passion and dedication for early education and care within the learning environment and have exceptional skills to build relationships with families and children.

This position is Permanent Part time working 3 days a week, 7 hours each day. The centre offers a Kindergarten Group and limited hours care also.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the days for Limited hours care Program. You will be the Permanent Assistant for the limited hours care group and will assist in Education and care for children 0-5 years of age.

This is a fantastic steppingstone into the organisation where you will meet and learn from your Teacher Director in the centre.

Ideal applicants will have:

  • Certificate lll or Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA); or enrolled and actively working towards one.
  • Current Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
  • Current First aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Experience assisting in implementing a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met.
  • Observant of children's behavior and development, whilst ability to document accurate observations.
  • Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards ("NQF" and "NQS"), the Early Years Learning Framework ("EYLF") Evidence of professional experience that shows initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development; and display or courage in the provision of advice and decision making.
  • Prior experience within the early childhood profession desirable
