At C&K Kedron Childcare Centre, we are housed in a purpose-built facility which accommodates children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years. As a home away from home, our environment provides feelings of being safe, secure and supported while in the care of our qualified educators. Our service has a combination of age-based rooms and welcoming spaces that provide opportunities for a variety of ages to interact. We also offer a unique outdoor environment with large natural play spaces. We encourage the care of our natural world through teaching responsibility and sustainability practices.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Educator to join the Centre. The successful educator will pride themselves on their passion and dedication for early education within the learning environment. We are looking for someone with exceptional skills to build relationships with families and children, who has a fun and enthusiastic approach to their new role with C&K. You will be an educator that is dedicated to furthering their own learning as an early childhood professional and ability to be flexible and work collaboratively within a team environment.

C&K Kedron Childcare Centre caters for children from 6 weeks to 5 years, we operate Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:30pm.The service embraces C&K’s ‘Listening and Learning Together’ curriculum approach, which is a play based, emergent and co-constructed curriculum giving emphasis to encouraging children to express and transform their ideas and understandings in play and the many languages of children.

Ideal applicants will have:

• Certificate lll qualification in early childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA); or enrolled and actively working towards
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
• Hold or willing to obtain a paid Blue Card
• Previous experience working with children
• Passion for creating and delivering a simulating learning environment
• An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
• Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories
• An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Room Leader ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
