About the role:

C&K Biloela Community Child Care Centre , located in Central QLD, is now looking for an experienced Centre Director.  C&K Biloela Community Child Care Centre is a 44 place Centre that caters for 0-5 age groups across 3 learning spaces. You will benefit from working with a dedicated team of up to 12 employees and a skilled Clerical Assistant who will assist you with the day-to-day running of the Centre. Further, you will have access to a large team of support, which includes an Early Childhood Pedagogy Advisor and Early Childhood Education Manager, along with a Central Office team based in Brisbane.

This position will suit an Early Childhood professional who is a leader, is driven, and committed to exceeding the standards of Early Education and Care within the Community. You will be an independent leader with the ability to gain respect and trust from a team and promote a positive working culture.

You will maintain a strong reputation across the community, be community minded, and excel and deliver within your Centre. As a person in day-to-day charge of the Centre, you will be an independent and critical thinker, with outstanding communication skills and problem-solving abilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the Centre and requires quick thinking, accurate decision-making and respectful leadership.

About you :

You must be approachable with leadership qualities and an ability to connect within the community, families, children and employees; with a hands-on approach in managing the service operationally. For this position, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, who has previous experience as a Centre Director and shares C&K’s values of Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, Courage and Safety.

Your experience, skills and knowledge will include:

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood qualification).
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards ("NQF" and "NQS"), the Early Years Learning Framework ("EYLF").
• Demonstrated experience in leading with vision to deliver positive results in early childhood education and care including;

• • Practical and comprehensive knowledge of key issues, strategies and best practice in early childhood education, child health, wellbeing and inclusion, early childhood curricula and development frameworks;
  • day-to-day management;
  • financial management;
  • health, safety and wellbeing; and
  • Building strong family partnerships.

• Experience with day-to-day management of a Long Day Care Centre with a strong financial management background and experience desirable.
• Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and supporting early childhood education and care services/programs to deliver high quality outcomes, and in building a capable and engaged workforce.
• Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development; and display or courage in the provision of advice and decision making.
