The Creche and Kindergarten Association Limited (C&K) is a not-for-profit early childhood provider with nearly 350 early childhood education and care services located across Queensland. C&K acknowledges that each child and family have unique early education and care requirements and so we provide a range of different programs including childcare, kindergarten, outside school hours' care and integrated services. 

About the opportunity 

C&K Nambour Community Child Care Centre is now looking for an experienced Centre Director.  C&K Nambour is a 63 place Centre that caters for 0-5 age groups across 4 learning spaces. You will benefit from working with a dedicated team of up to 14 employees and a skilled Clerical Assistant who will assist you with the day-to-day running of the Centre. Further, you will have access to a large team of support, which includes an Early Childhood Pedagogy Advisor and Early Childhood Education Manager, along with a Central Office team based in Brisbane.

This position will suit an Early Childhood professional who is a leader, who has drive, and is committed to exceeding the standards of Early Education and Care within the Community. You will be an independent leader with the ability to gain respect and trust from a team and promote a positive working culture.

You will maintain a strong reputation across the community, be community minded, and excel and deliver within your Centre. As a person in day-to-day charge of the Centre, you will be an independent and critical thinker, with outstanding communication skills and problem-solving abilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the Centre and requires quick thinking, accurate decision-making and respectful leadership.

About you 

You must be approachable with leadership qualities and an ability to connect within the community, families, children and employees; with a hands-on approach in managing the service operationally. For this position, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, who has previous experience as a Centre Director and shares C&K’s values of Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, Courage and Safety.

Your experience, skills and knowledge will include:

• Completed Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification).
• Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and supporting early childhood education and care programs to deliver high quality outcomes, and in building a capable and engaged staff team.
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards ("NQF" and "NQS"), the Early Years Learning Framework ("EYLF")
• Demonstrated experience in leading with vision to deliver positive results in early childhood education and care including;
  • Practical and comprehensive knowledge of key issues, strategies and best practice in early childhood education, child health, wellbeing and inclusion, early childhood curricula and development frameworks;
  • day-to-day centre management;
  • financial management;
  • health, safety and wellbeing; and
  • building strong family partnerships.
