About C&K:

C&K is a not-for-profit organisation which is recognised as one of Queensland’s leading bodies in the Early Childhood and Education sector. Since 1907, the organisation has grown and developed its social purpose agenda and now educates children in 360 centres which is comprised of both Childcare Centres and Kindergartens.

C&K Gympie South Community Kindergarten offers a play-based learning facility with open plan indoor/outdoor play spaces. Our centre is well lit with natural light and equipped with beautiful furnishings and well resourced.

Being located on Gympie South State School grounds offers us the opportunity to utilise the schools resources for weekly visits to the Library where children experience a library session and borrow a book to take home, learning to care for books and enjoy a story. During end of year transitions, we also have the opportunity to visit the prep rooms and meet the teachers.

As the Director/Teacher for the service, you will be responsible for managing the operation of a branch Kindergarten service in accordance with C&K standards and policies.

The service is looking for someone who is a self-starter, armed with a creative vision to help the service blossom. An approachable leader amongst the community for families, children and employees; and a successful educator who has a hands-on approach in teaching as well as capable of managing the service operationally.

Ideal applicants will have:

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification).
  • Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers prior to appointment.  This registration must be renewed annually.
