C&K Mount Gravatt East Community Kindergarten is a unique centre that caters for up to 24 children. At C&K Mount Gravatt East Community Kindergarten community spirit is important to us. We foster strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us and taking the children on excursions out into the local community.
Our Centre is now looking for a Director /Teacher who is passionate about working alongside children in their early years and will contribute to a team that values open communication and sees children as competent and capable learners.
No two days are the same at C&K Mount Gravatt East. Our teaching team tailors each day’s learning, taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious and natural environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well-resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and we allocate plenty of time for outdoor play and discovery.
You will be working on a Permanent part term basis every Monday, Tuesday and Alternate Wednesday (37.5 hours per fortnight).
In this role, you will ensure that all services and activities provided are consistent with the purpose, vision and values of C&K and comply with relevant legislation, quality standards, contemporary research and practice wisdom. Our community Kindergarten aspires to reflective practice in all aspects of work, continuous quality improvement and the highest possible standards of service provision.

Must be committed to continuous improvement, through a collaborative approach with colleagues, community, families, and children. Previous Director Teacher experience is desirable but not essential. An approachable leader amongst your community of families, children, and employees; with a hands-on approach in managing the service operationally.
