About the role:
C&K Tin Can Bay Community Kindergarten is a community based not-for-profit Kindergarten located in Tin Can Bay. The Centre is a 1 unit Kindergarten that caters for up to 24 children across indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
Our Centre is now looking for a Director Teacher who is dedicated to working alongside children in their early years and will contribute to a team that values open communication and sees children as powerful learners, thinks and theorisers and active citizens.
Our Tin Can Bay Community Kindergarten is proud of their large, natural outdoor spaces for children and educators to learn and explore together. The kindergarten operates their program on a 5 day fortnight on Mondays, Tuesdays and Alternate Wednesdays. This position will commence in January 2023!
C&K Tin Can Bay Community Kindergarten provides high quality educational experiences through Listening and Learning Together - C&K's Revised Curriculum Approach and encouraging children to express their own ideas through play to develop friendships, explore, solve problems, help others, imagine, create and extend on their interests.
What we will require from you as a Teacher Director:
For this Teacher Director position, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, armed with a creative vision and ready to take on the Director role as well as the Teaching. Previous Director/Nominated Supervisor experience is desirable. You must be approachable and possess excellent communication skills, you will be required to have a hands-on approach to managing the service operationally.
You must have the ability to document and assess children's learning and development. Ability to support the room educators to utilise a variety of teaching strategies including intentional teaching and reflective practice in daily work.
We are looking for someone who will treat all children with dignity and respect, embracing each child's unique family and background, maintaining an environment that is tolerant and respectful of child and family cultures, values and differences.
