Director/Teacher | Wynnum Manly Community Kindergarten
At Wynnum Manly Community Kindergarten (WMCK), a Creche and Kindergarten Association Limited (C&K) affiliated centre, a unique position has become available for an experienced Early Childhood Professional to join the centre in a dual role of Director and Teacher.
As the Director and Teacher, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of an affiliate Kindergarten service in accordance with standards and policies as well as developing and implementing a high quality, engaging play-based Kindergarten Program for the children. The program is delivered in line with QLD School Terms. You would also be responsible for teaching one Kindergarten group (see below for further information regarding the structure of WMCK).
The role is Part-time (53 hours per fortnight, including non-contact hours), initially on a fixed term contract (to December 2023), with the possibility of a permanent contract after this period. The suitable applicant will have previous experience as a Director, with a thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and C&K curriculum. Experience with Assessment and Rating is advantageous.

WMCK is a double unit kindergarten, currently operating 2 Kindergarten groups of 22 children per class. We also provide two Kindy 3’s programs.
