Early Childhood Teacher - C&K Redlands Community Kindergarten

  • Permanent Fulltime position
  • 7.5 hours every Monday to Friday
  • Commencing Monday 11th July 2022

C&K Redlands is a community based not-for-profit Kindergarten, located in Cleveland. We are a double unit Kindergarten that caters for up to 88 children across two learning spaces. Our kindergarten is proud of their large, natural outdoor spaces for children and educators to learn and explore together. The Centre aims to provide a safe, friendly, respectful, caring environment that caters for the needs, interests and uniqueness of children, family, staff and the wider community.

An exciting opportunity has come available for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join the Centre, as the Teacher, you will have an ability to document and assess children’s learning behavior and development. Model and support the room educators to utilise a variety of teaching strategies including intentional teaching and reflective practice in daily work.

 To be successful in this role you must:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers desirable
  • Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards ("NQF" and "NQS"), the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
  • Current or previous experience working at a C&K Community Kindergarten preferred but not essential
  • Having an ability to work with and support children with additional needs 
  • Demonstrating recognition, acceptance and respect towards Australia's first people - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 
  • An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
  • An ability to document observations of children's behaviour and development
  • An ability to implement a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
  • Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development; and display or courage in the provision of advice and decision making.
