EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER – Part Time
Mudjimba Community Kindergarten is a service approved community based sessional kindergarten affiliated with The Childcare and Kindergarten Association Limited (C&K) and has been in operation since 1988. We are a not-for-profit organisation, owned and operated by the Mudjimba Community Kindergarten and Pre-School Association Inc and located in Mudjimba on the Sunshine Coast. Our Kindergarten has two groups that each caters for up to twenty-five children across a 5-day fortnight for each group. Mudjimba Community Kindergarten provides play-based developmental and educational programs for children in a natural, cheerful, and safe environment and are proud to offer services, facilities and programs which are rated as EXCEEDING the National Quality Framework.
We are currently looking for an Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about working alongside children in their early years and will contribute to a team that values open communication and sees children as competent and capable learners.
Our Kindergarten is proud of our large, natural outdoor spaces for children and educators to learn and explore together. Mudjimba kindergarten operates our program 5 days per fortnight. Early Week Group attend Monday, Tuesday & alternating Wednesday’s and Late Week Group attend alternating Wednesday’s, Thursday & Friday. Session Times are 8:25am to 2:35pm each day.
This position commences Term 4 2022, Tuesday 4th October 2022 until the end of the kindy year, 9th December 2022 with the possibility of further employment in 2023. You will be working on a fixed term part time basis, teaching our Early Week Group attending Monday, Tuesday & alternating Wednesday’s. The hours 8:00am to 3:30pm totally 37.5 hours per 5-day fortnight.
As the Teacher and as nominated responsible person, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Kindergarten Early Week Group by implementing the Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program.
You will be a self-starter, passionate about community, value play and possess a creative vision. You must be committed to continuous improvement, through a collaborative approach with colleagues, community, families, and children. Previous Director Teacher experience is desirable but not essential. You must be an approachable leader amongst the community of families, children, and employees; with a hands-on approach in managing the service operationally. You will have the following:
