C&K Upper Kedron Childcare Centre is nestled within the natural bush of Upper Kedron, within the masterplanned community of Ellendale, this new early learning centre has been designed in collaboration with educators and architects, to create inviting spaces for children to explore, discover, learn and play.

We are currently looking for a qualified and motivated Group Leader to join our team. As an experienced, warm and passionate Group Leader, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a stimulating education program which provides opportunities for the children, families and the wider community to contribute. This beautiful, 125 place state of the art centre, you will be required to work 38 hours per week on a rotating roster between the hours of 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

We offer a holistic approach to high quality education centered not just on learning but also on building meaningful relationships to ensure that children feel safe, secure and supported. This centre will specialise in nature pedagogy and will have bright and natural spaces which include modern and natural outdoor play spaces featuring mud play, sand pits, a dry creek with pumping water and a nature reserve for the children to explore.

About you: 

An experienced early childhood Educator, you will be energetic, fun, passionate and committed to supporting and guiding children’s learning and development. You will have the following:

• Diploma qualification in early childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA); or enrolled and actively working towards
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
• Hold or willing to obtain a paid Blue Card
• Previous experience working with children
• Passion for creating and delivering a simulating learning environment
• An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
• Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories
• An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Assistant Educator, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
