The Creche and Kindergarten Association Limited (C&K) is a not-for-profit early childhood provider with nearly 350 early childhood education and care services located across Queensland. C&K acknowledges that each child and family have unique early education and care requirements and so we provide a range of different programs including childcare, kindergarten, outside school hours' care and integrated services. 

About the opportunity 

C&K Wilston Community Childcare Centre is housed in a traditional Queensland style building and accommodates children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years. We offer a unique environment with large natural play spaces and we encourage the care of our natural world through modelling and teaching responsibility and sustainability practices.

We are currently looking for a qualified and motivated Group Leader (float) to join our team. As an experienced, warm and passionate Lead Educator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a stimulating education program which provides opportunities for the children, families and the wider community to contribute.

• Part Time Position – Tuesday to Friday
• 23 hours per week
• Tuesday to Thursday 11:30am to 4:30pm 
• Friday - 8 hour shift

About you 

An experienced early childhood Educator, you will be energetic, fun, passionate and committed to supporting and guiding children’s learning and development. You will have the following:

• Diploma qualification in early childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA); or enrolled and actively working towards
• Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
• Hold or willing to obtain a paid Blue Card
• Previous experience working with children
• Passion for creating and delivering a simulating learning environment
• An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
• Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories
• An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Assistant Educator, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
