About the role:

C&K Rosalie Community Kindergarten is currently looking for an experienced Inclusion Support Assistant. As the Inclusion Support Assistant, you would be required to assist with the whole group, however there is a large element of one-on-one care required for an additional need’s child in this position. The successful applicant must have previous experience in a similar role, have the drive and capability to implement and introduce strategies into the program and be flexible with their hours.

  • Casual role – 5 days per fortnight
  • 7.5 hours every Monday, Tuesday and 5 hours every alternate Wednesday 
  • Commencing Term 3 until the end of the year, with a potential to extend

Please note, these hours are subject to review throughout the year and could be reduced depending on how the children are settling in.

The suitable applicant will be expected to:

  • Work with and support children with additional needs;
  • Demonstrating an understanding of The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG); 
  • Assisting with monitoring, recording and evaluating children’s learning and experiences and makes adjustments to the program where necessary; 
  • Supporting and guiding children’s behaviour in positive ways.

 Ideal applicants will have:

  • Approved Early Childhood Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent qualification);
  • Hold a current Blue Card or ability to obtain a Paid Blue Card;
  • Current First Aid/ CPR including Asthma and Anaphylaxis;
  • Have knowledge and awareness of eating disorders in children.
  • Previous experience in a similar role assisting children with additional needs.
