Lead Educator - C&K Newmarket Community Childcare Centre

About the role:

At C&K Newmarket Community Childcare Centre, the service is now looking for a qualified Lead Educator to be a part of the Team leading in the Pre-Kindy room (2-3 years).

C&K Newmarket is a 57 place Centre, providing quality education and care as a community-based not-for-profit Centre in Newmarket, North Brisbane.

Your new role will see you working permanent full time, 40 hours per week with a monthly RDO. Please note that this role required you to be on a rotating roaster of open and close. This position will be as soon as possible for the right candidate.

 Ideal applicants will have:

  • Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
  • Current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Previous experience in a childcare setting working in the Pre-Kindy room (2-3 years) age group
  • An understanding of your duties as an Assistant educator and be a team player
  • Passion for creating and delivering a simulating learning environment
  • An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
  • Awareness of the National Quality Framework
  • Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories.
  • An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the room leader ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
