About C&K

The Childcare and Kindergarten Association Limited (C&K) is a not-for-profit early childhood provider with nearly 350 early childhood education and care services located across Queensland. C&K acknowledges that each child and family have unique early education and care requirements and so we provide a range of different programs including childcare, kindergarten, outside school hours’ care and integrated services.

About the opportunity.

The position will be responsible for filling relief shifts at our centres and managing a pool of relief employees.

Key accountabilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Filling a high volume of relief shifts.
  • The end-to-end recruitment of casual relief Assistant Educators, Group Leaders and Teachers
  • Continuously build and manage a database of qualified casual relief employees for current and future vacancies.
  • Manage the ongoing performance of relief employees.
  • Consider relief pool and relief recruitment issues and identify innovative solutions e.g. through process improvement.

This position can be based at our Central office (Kedron) or one of our regional offices (e.g. Mackay, Townville, Cairns, Gladstone, Rockhampton) and will have the flexibility to work from home.

About you

This position will suit someone with the following experience, skills, and abilities:

  • Experience in an end-to-end, hands-on, high-volume internal recruitment or recruitment agency position(s).
  • A pro-active approach, with experience of generating talent pools through candidate database searches and use of tools such as SEEK Premium Talent Search and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Experience using recruitment management systems/applicant tracking systems, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Payroll systems
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate as required. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, work collaboratively with colleagues and autonomously/independently as required.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • A customer centric approach and focus to provide exceptional customer service.
  • A pro-active approach and ability to use initiative.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise, manage workloads and expectations.
