Relief Educators and Early Childhood Teachers

 

Rare opportunity to work in well-established, highly-regarded community kindergartens with strong community base and support.

C&K Affiliate Kindergartens in Camp Hill, Carina, Coorparoo, Holland Park, Stones Corner and Yeronga are currently looking for casual relief Early Childhood Teachers and Educators (Assistants and Inclusion Support) to work across our lovely community kindergartens as relief and/or for short-term contracts.

The successful applicants will be required to have:

Certificate 3, 5 or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent (if applying for Assistant and/or inclusion roles)

Minimum 4-year Bachelor of Teaching degree in Early Childhood Education (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification (if applying for teaching roles)

Current Working with Children Blue Card or Exemption card for Registered Teachers

Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training

If applying for teacher role must have Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers 

The successful candidates will be passionate about play-based early learning, have a sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary early childhood development and practice and a demonstrated ability to actively support and guide children’s behaviour in positive ways. As you will have opportunities to work across six wonderful but unique community kindergartens, we are looking for candidates who understand the structure of community kindergartens and have a demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.

About our kindergartens

Camp Hill Kindergarten, Carina Kindergarten, Harty Street Kindergarten, Mott Park Kindy, Stones Corner Kindy and Yeronga Park Kindergarten are all not-for-profit kindergartens affiliated with C&K. The kindergartens all run sessional kindergarten programs (15 hours per week), across the school teaching year. As each kindergarten offers kindergarten programs that best suit their local community, you will have flexibility to choose the days / hours that you will be available for short-term relief and/or contract positions.
