Consider a career within office administration. C&K is currently seeking applications for an Administration Assistant Trainee, based at our central office.

This is an entry-level position and a great steppingstone opportunity to build your administration skills whilst studying towards a nationally recognised qualification.

You will gain exposure to the business administration process and gain early childhood sector experience whilst completing Cert III in Business Administration. You will be supported and mentored by the Executive Assistant.

This position is full-time and will be contracted for 12 months for the duration of studying Certificate III Business Administration.

Ideal candidates will be responsible for:

  • General admin organisation (i.e., check printer paper supply, top-up kitchen supplies, tidy meeting rooms, unpack dishwashers each morning, clean coffee machine daily, water office plants.) Ensuring our reception area is looking welcoming and professional.
  • Ordering office supplies (stationery, milk, kitchen supplies (tea, coffee), coffee pods etc).
  • Distribution of mail and courier deliveries.
  • Preparation of outgoing mail to be sent each afternoon.
  • Organising couriers as required throughout the day.
  • Monitor Office Admin inbox.
  • Providing support with internal events (setting up rooms etc).
  • Assisting visitors/guests at Reception (if assistance is required).
  • Administrative duties as required by other teams within the central office.

About You:

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and eager to learn
  • Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to create a welcoming environment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products with the ability to learn new software applications is desirable
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuing professional and personal development
