This is a great opportunity for a communications professional who enjoys being close to the business, working with people across an organisation and turning complex information into clear, engaging communications.

You’ll join us at an exciting time, supporting our teams through day-to-day operational communications while also helping bring our 120-year story to life. From sharing the achievements of our team members and celebrating the people who make C&K what it is, to supporting major organisational initiatives and anniversary activities, no two days will be quite the same.

Working within the communications and advocacy team, you will:

• Partner with internal teams to understand their priorities and provide practical, strategic communications advice.
• Develop, write, edit and proofread a wide range of communications, from communications strategies and everyday operational updates through to engaging stories, presentations, briefs, web and intranet content.
• Help bring C&K’s 120-year anniversary celebrations to life through internal storytelling, showcasing the people, history and achievements that make C&K special.
• Support business units to plan and deliver communications that help people understand not just what is happening, but why it matters.

About you

You’re a confident communications professional who can move comfortably between strategic advice and getting the work done.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in internal communications, corporate communications or a similar role.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex information clear and engaging.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and business areas, and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• An understanding of internal communications channels and how to use them effectively to reach different audiences.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently while being a collaborative team member.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, media or a related discipline.
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training – Foundation Certificate
