Help shape the future of children in our care

As the Wellbeing and Inclusion Manager, you will lead C&K’s inclusion and wellbeing program, promoting the translation of contemporary theory to practice to ensure C&K is a leader in early childhood education and care for both children and educator outcomes.

You’ll help us shape the future of children in our care by:

  • Leadership: Leading development of agreed positions and evidence-informed strategies that support professional development and excellence in inclusion and wellbeing. Demonstrated successful experience leading early childhood inclusion and wellbeing programs, harnessing expert knowledge and best practice to drive improvement in curriculum, pedagogy and practice.
  • Operational Management: Managing and monitoring progress of initiatives and projects, in collaboration with C&K Managers and other partners. Demonstrated successful experience leading early childhood inclusion and wellbeing programs, harnessing expert knowledge and best practice to drive improvement in curriculum, pedagogy and practice.
  • Business Development: Representing C&K at an organisational level, including communication and advocacy of C&K’s inclusion and wellbeing program for children and educators. Developing and maintaining relationships with partners and key regional stakeholders (government and non-government), to increase C&K’s profile and footprint, influence policy and strategy, and build future sustainability.
  • Education and Practice: Ensuring C&K’s inclusion and wellbeing approach is embedded in the curriculum approach of all C&K services and programs.
  • Personal accountability: Exemplifying personal drive and integrity – taking personal responsibility for meeting objectives, showing initiative and committing energy to see that goals are achieved.


To thrive and succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Hold an ACECQA approved Bachelor’s in Education (Early Childhood) or Postgraduate qualifications in a related field highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated successful experience developing and delivering efficient and effective strategies that improve outcomes for children and improve quality of programs and services provided across a dispersed early childhood service network. With consideration to:
    • the National Quality Framework, and legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to early childhood education and care,
    • Funding rules and reporting requirements for all grant income and expenditure
    • financial management, and
    • people management.
  • Evidence of sound professional experience that shows:
    • initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives;
    • commitment to personal development; and
    • application of evidence, professional expertise and courage in decision making.
