At C&K, our purpose is to make a positive impact on children’s lives. It’s what we’ve been doing for more than 115 years. Through evidence-based thinking, hard work and true compassion, we’ve built a trusted reputation as Queensland’s leading provider of early childhood education. And as a child safe organisation, we put children's safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do, creating nurturing spaces where children can learn, explore, play and grow.

The opportunity

We’re seeking a People Adminstrator to join our C&K Central team on a Full Time position. The People Administrator plays a key role in supporting our Talent Acquisition and People Experience teams, helping deliver smooth and efficient recruitment and employee lifecycle processes. Acting as the first point of contact for recruitment enquiries, the role provides timely, professional support to candidates, hiring managers, and Talent Partners. With a strong focus on data accuracy and compliance, the People Administrator ensures employee records are maintained to a high standard, supporting quality hiring outcomes and contributing to our strategic pillar of building an exceptional workforce.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as the first point of contact for all recruitment enquiries, managing the recruitment helpdesk inbox and providing timely, professional support.

  • Provide end-to-end administrative support across recruitment, including interview coordination, candidate communication, and pre-employment checks.

  • Maintain accurate recruitment and employee data across systems, ensuring records are complete, compliant, and up to date.

  • Monitor and manage compliance documentation, including qualifications, Blue Cards, and registrations, in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Support the People Experience team with general administration, correspondence, document preparation, and guidance on people systems and processes.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support ad hoc projects to enhance recruitment and people operations.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and a customer-focused mindset. You’ll also have:

  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally within Recruitment or Human Resources.

  • A practical understanding of contemporary recruitment practices and end-to-end TA/HR administration.

  • Confidence managing high-volume enquiries, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting employment documentation, including contracts and templates.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and clearly with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Intermediate skills across Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, problem-solving and organisational skills.

  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to think logically, respect diverse perspectives, and contribute positively to team culture.

  • Sound analytical and conceptual skills, supported by strong business acumen and a customer-focused approach.

  • Proven ability to prioritise competing tasks, manage multiple projects, and work independently to meet deadlines.

  • A continuous improvement mindset, with experience contributing to more efficient processes and ways of working.

  • Experience in the Early Childhood Education and Care and/or Not-for-Profit sector is desirable.

  • A qualification in Human Resources, or a willingness to work towards one, is desirable but not essential.
